Elisabeth K. Soesman

Elisabeth K. Soesman of Ft. Lauderdale passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Wednesday, January 4th,  2017; she was 65 years old. Elisabeth was born in Ulricehamn, Sweden, the only child of Allan and Marta Fredriksson.

Elisabeth attended Nursing School in Boras, Sweden where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1971. She later came to the USA shortly after that.  She met her 1st husband and the father of her two children, Frank J. Soesman in Chicago, Illinois.  Together they had a daughter, Desiree L. Morgado and a son Timothy J. Soesman.

In 1985 the family moved from Hanover Park, Illinois to Coral Springs, Florida after Elisabeth accepted a Nurse Manager position on the Neuro Floor at Cedars Hospital in Miami.

In 1990 the couple divorced and Elisabeth temporarily moved back home to Ulricehamn in Sweden. But by 1993, Elisabeth's desire to be back in warm, sunny Florida, motivated her to accept a new and up-coming job within the Nursing Informatix field with the Broward Hospital district, where she would finish out her career in 2012.

Elisabeth was a motivated, hardworking, strong independent woman that was an avid Do-it-Yourselfer.  She had an amazing artistic side, often painting, sculpting, sewing, or cooking; and her love for travel brought her all over the Caribbean.

By 2001, Elisabeth rekindled her relationship with her high school sweetheart, Bengt Erlandsson, and the pair later married, sharing many happy years together.  

Elisabeth is survived by her husband Bengt; her daughter Desiree and son Timothy, along with her four grandchildren: Lina, Mia & Antonio Morgado and Hailey Soesman.
