My condolences to the Flynn family and especially Donna Mae. I worked with Dave in the early 1980's at IBM in Boca Raton Florida. I knew him as a great colleague at IBM and never heard about his WWII background until many years later when there was an article about him in the FTL Sun-Sentinel. Also about this time my wife Dorie enrolled in a Tahitian Dance class in Boca that was taught by Donna Mae and asked if I knew anybody at IBM named Dave Flynn. Of course I did, even though it had been at least 20 years since I had seen Dave. Again my condolences to all.

My Uncle David was a big influence in my life.  It was always a special occasion when he returned to St. Paul.  When I called him before he got terribly ill he was always glad to hear from me.  He was a man of great measure, war hero, a gentleman and interested in keeping active as long as he could.  I loved him very much.  My sympathies to my dear Aunt Donna, Shawn Dennis, Fulton, Cletus and their families. May God hold you in the palm of his hand during this difficult time.  A big hole has been left in my heart, but his spirit will dance on forever.

To the Flynn family,

I am sorry for your loss.

David grew up with my dad; they joined the Navy and served on USS Houston together.  The times I spoke to David are treasured.

Our family will remember and honor David.

Sincerely,

Fred

I will never forget meeting your Dad, his sweet smile, gentle spirit, and mischievous sense of humor. He made me wish I had known you all back when we were growing up two blocks apart in California!

The Lord give you comfort during this time. Your Dad will not be forgotten by the kid from Amarillo Ave.
