Carmela Argiro

We are saddened to say that our loving mother and grandmother Carmela Argiro passed on Saturday April 6th surrounded by her loving family at Gold Coast hospice. 

She was preceded In death by her husband Aldo Argiro, her parents Giovanni and Assunta and her sister Maria.  She is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Linda , her daughter Teresa and her husband Steven and daughters Susanne and Rosanna. She was blessed with 8 loving grandchildren Joseph (little Joe), Melissa, Christopher, Vincent, Joanna(Jojo), Christina, Nicolas, Michael, and 2 brothers Paul, Nick and his wife Marie. 

Carmela was a devout catholic who loved to cook delicious Italian meals. She loved to feed everyone. When you came to her house she would say “you gained weight, but you need to eat something.” Except for her granddaughter Joanna who she always said needed to gain weight, Mangia Mangia !! She loved her garden with all her tomatoes, mangos, lemons, bananas and her New York fig tree. She would always say she was on a diet but you would always find her in the corner eating something sweet. We love you Nanna and we will miss you!

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday April 13th, 12 pm at St. Paul the Apostles 2700 E Sample Rd
Lighthouse Point, FL  33064 for her friends and family in Florida. 

Carmela will be laid to rest at St Charles cemetery in Farmingdale Long Island. Details for funeral arrangements in New York will follow.
