Bernard Molinski Obituary

Bernard Joseph Molinski passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 15, 2019 in the care of his loved ones.  He was 89 years old.  He was born in Hudson, New York on May 20, 1930 to parents Lewis Bernard and Florence Molinski.  Bernie was raised and educated in New York; soon after, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country. After his discharge he joined IBM in Poughkeepsie, New York and he and his family transferred to Boca Raton, Florida to continue working with IBM until his retirement in 1988.  His real passion was music; and he loved playing the piano.  He was an actor for many of the IBM musicals and he always enjoyed entertaining family and friends with music.

Bernie was a devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church.  He was an original founder of AIM (Achieve, Inspire, Motivate) ministry that serves individuals with physical disabilities.  Bernie was not only part of the church choir but taught piano classes, led CCD groups and youth ministries and brought people to Jesus through the evangelist team.

He was a devoted and loving husband for 69 years to Harriet Russell Molinski.  Bernie is also survived by two daughters: Karen Molinski of Boca Raton and Mary Ellen James (Richard) of Boynton Beach; one son Mark Molinski of Boca Raton.  He was a cherished grandfather to: Shawn Thornton, Tammy Greene, Jennifer Wojno (Dave), Richie James, Brittany Molinski and great-grandfather to Evalynne and Evan Thornton, Katelyn & Kyle Greene, and Noah Wojno.   He was preceded in death by daughter Kathy Molinski and granddaughter Ally Molinski.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Glick Family Funeral Home.  There will be an evening Wake service and eulogy.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 20th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church followed by interment at the Boca Raton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, consider donations to AIM ministry at the church or the Trustbridge Hospice Organization.
