Antoinette “Dolly” Biase, 90, died on Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Boca Raton, Florida. She was born on September 27, 1928 in the Bronx, NY where she was raised and educated. Following the death of her father Joseph in 1944, Antoinette went to night school to complete her high school education while taking care of her mother and younger sister during the day. Her older brothers Oronzo and Vito were in the Army in Europe as it was WWII.
Antoinette graduated from Rhodes Preparatory School and received her associate’s degree in Bookkeeping. She worked for Trans Caribbean Airways in Manhattan as a bookkeeper for many years. Dolly loved to travel and explore new cultures. She traveled throughout Europe and especially spent wonderful times with her family in Italy.
Dolly married her soulmate, Agostino “Sonny” Biase (deceased July 2018) on September 21, 1958 and moved to Belleville, New Jersey. There she raised her three children and was a homemaker until 1977, when she and her husband opened and operated the Short Hills Delicatessen in Short Hills, NJ. She was dedicated to her customers and the couple were well known throughout the community.
Upon selling the deli, the Biases moved to Plano, Texas. Dedicated to her Catholic faith, she was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Nutley, NJ and an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Plano. Leaving Texas, they moved to Boca Raton in 2016.
Dolly is predeceased by parents: Joseph Tampone and Angelina Tampone (nee De Vito).
Devoted wife of Agostino Biase. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September 2018.
Beloved mother of daughter, Rose Biase (husband Stephen Vitasek) of Plano Texas, and sons Joseph (wife Donna) of Boca Raton, FL and Nicholas of Florham Park, NJ.

Sister of Vito Tampone (deceased), Oronzo Tampone (deceased), and Catherine Bianco of Syosset, NY.
A visitation will be held from 8-9 am on Friday, February 15 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Friday, February 15 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Antoinette will be laid to rest with her husband Agostino at 10:45 AM on Monday, February 18 at The South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
