Alvin J. Bourque

Alvin John Bourque of Deerfield Beach passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017; he was 91 years old.  Mr. Bourque was born to parents Emile and Nelia LaChaussee Bourque on January 2, 1926 in Abbeville, Louisiana where he was raised and educated.  He retired from his accounting position with the IRS and moved to South Florida four years ago.  He was a proud US Army Veteran serving as Corporal during the Korean War.

Alvin was an avid hunter and tracker.  He always enjoyed fishing whenever possible.  Spending time with family and friends was the most enjoyable pleasure as he watched his grandchildren grow.  Alvin is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Martha Marina Bourque.  He also leaves behind two loving daughters Julia (Parviz, deceased) Vessalpour and Lou (Ronald) Britt; proud son Juan F. (Karla) Coto; beloved grandchildren: Maryam Vessalpour; Joshua (Megan); Alicia Coto; Victor, Isabel, and Gabriel Coto and great-grandson Rayce Carter Leach.

A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, September 28th at 11:30am at the Glick Family Funeral Home (3600 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton).  He will be laid to rest with Military Funeral Honors at 1:30pm at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
