Allan Van Buren Obituary

Allan “ Big Al” Van Buren, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather passed away on  April 30th, 2019.

Al was born in Massapequa, NY and moved to Pass Christian, Mississippi when he was 7 years old where his father was attending the Merchant Marine Academy.   Al grew up in a Military family and moved from time to time and ended up in Oyster Bay,  Long Island where he met the love of his life Jane in 1962. They were married on Feb 10th 1963 and stayed in Long Island, NY until they relocated to South Florida with their 3 children in 1972 where they have remained happily married for 57 years.

Al is survived by his wife Jane, son Chris Van Buren & Daughter in law Allison, daughter Daudie Locigno & Son in law Chuck, son Scott Van Buren & Daughter in law Jennifer, grandchildren:  Jessica & Husband Jerry, Arax Rae, Carson & Ava, Gina & Chelsea, Davis & Barrett, great granddaughter Jaely, brother Robert Van Buren & Sister in law Candy, sister Marion Mishaan, sister-in-law Sara Puccio, and brother-in-law Jimmy Puccio.

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 5th from 2- 6pm with a service being  held at 5:00 pm.   Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Monday, May 6th at 10:15 am (Lane 5) at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL, 33449.
