Marjorie Stransenback, 91, Boca Raton

Marjorie Johnson Stransenback, 91, formerly of Wenona, passed away peacefully Tuesday
morning at her home in Boca Raton, Florida.

Born October 11, 1920, in Wenona, she was the daughter of Emil and Minnie (Crone) Johnson.
Marge, as she was known by her family and friends, attended grade and high school in
Wenona.

She married her grade school sweetheart, Willard Stransenback, on February 14, 1920. He
preceded her in death in 1963. They are survived by their children: Darla Jane and husband
Robert, of Boca Raton, Florida; and by Edward Stransenback and wife Susan Lavin, of Fort
Myers, Florida.

Marge worked at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington, IL and then for 18 years as bookkeeper
in Wenona for Tabor Grain Co. In 1982, she moved to Stuart, FL. – residing there until 2003
when she moved to Boca Raton to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Marge was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Wenona (until 1982), Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Stuart, FL (until 2003 where she was a charter member), and of St. Paul
Lutheran Church in Boca Raton.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, three sisters (Irene Bufkin, Doris
Blomberg and Marilyn Johnson), and two sisters-in-law (LuElla Johnson and Frances Melody).
Also surviving her are four grandchildren (Kim Brackett and husband Mike of Aurora, IL, Rhonda
Krill of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Stephen Stark and wife Amy, and Natalie Nussbaum and
husband Richard of Boca Raton); 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and
cousins.

Memorial services will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wenona, IL in late spring.

Memorials may be given to The American Heart Association, Bethany Lutheran Church, or to a
charity of choice.
