Agatha Orfanos, 82, of Highland Beach, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
Agatha was born on the small island of Erikoussa off the coast of Corfu Greece. The family spent WWII on the island before moving to Athens. Agatha was known for her fashionista style growing up in Marousi Athens and the moving to the Bronx, New York. Her beloved husband Tasso followed her to New York and they married in 1956. They lived in Scarsdale New York and were members of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In 1992,Tasso and Agatha moved down to Highland Beach, Florida where they became permanent residents and members of Saint Mark’s Greek Orthodox Church. Agatha and Tasso will be forever remembered as always being in the kitchen and giving to their church.
Agatha was cherished by her granddaughters and great grandchildren and will be forever in their hearts as the best Yiayia and Yiayia Yiayia.
Married 62 years, Agatha joins her beloved Tasso again.
Agatha is survived by her son Bobby, daughter-in-law Endria, grandchildren Agathe “Beba”, Christina, Bianca and great grandchildren Caden, Niko, Cruz “Tatsi” and Melina Anastasia.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, May 13 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton where a Trisagion Service will begin at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 14 at St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton. Burial will follow at the Boca Raton Cemetery.
