It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Lawrence Patrone, affectionately known as "Bill," or “Billy” on March 18, 2024.
Born on May 10, 1959, he leaves behind a multitude of lives touched by his kindness and generosity. Bill is survived by his two beloved sons, William Martin Patrone and Michael James Patrone, his brother James Patrone and his wife Gloria, Marcie Patrone (Mother to William & Michael), and his longtime girlfriend Nancy Visnick.
Bill's two sons, Will & Michael, were the center of his world and he cherished every moment he spent with them. The joy and pride he found in witnessing his sons' growth and achievements was unmatched. Whether it was Will’s success and love for academia or Michael’s talent and passion for music, he took immense pride in their unique talents and celebrated their successes with boundless enthusiasm. He leaves behind memories of love and laughter that will live on in the hearts of his sons forever.
Bill's passions in life were vast. From a young age, he found joy in fishing and diving. Two of Bill's favorite seasons were lobster and stone crab season, where he eagerly dove into the waters and shared his catch with friends and loved ones. In addition to his maritime adventures, Bill was an above-average athlete in his youth, excelling in football, golf, baseball, beach volleyball, and tennis. Whether on the field, the court, or the ocean, Bill's competitive spirit and passion for sports shone brightly.
As a General Contractor, Bill's dedication was unmatched. He played a vital role in rebuilding a large part of Miami after the devastation of Hurricane Andrew, showcasing his commitment to his craft and his community. His welcoming spirit meant that he never met a stranger. Bill had a knack for making strangers feel like the friend you’ve known forever, and his willingness to lend a helping hand knew no bounds. Whether it was a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, or practical assistance, Bill was always there for those in need. But perhaps what truly set Bill apart was his genuine kindness. Bill's infectious smile and caring nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be greatly missed.
