Dominic "Nick" A. Passanisi

Dominic A. “Nick” Passanisi, 95, of Boca Raton passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Nick was born on December 27, 1928 in Cambridge, MA.  He graduated from Somerville High School in Somerville, MA in 1946.  He graduated from Fisher College in 1950 with a degree in Business Studies and Management.  Nick proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corp.

Nick joined the Knights of Columbus in 1953 and has been a loyal member for over 70 years.  He achieved the rank of “Faithful Admiral” of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and was a former Grand Night in Boston.  He also served as the Junior Vice Commandant for the Tamarac Detachment 755 within the Marine Corp League.  Nick was the President of America’s Prime Properties Inc.

Nick was an active gentleman and enjoyed attending various events with his best friend Dale.  Every Monday afternoon Nick loved playing Scrabble with 4 good friends.  He enjoyed attending craft shows offered by the ladies of Hearts and Crafts at church.  Nick was an avid supporter of the University of Miami Hurricanes and would gather with friends to watch all away football games.  He was an officer with his marine Corps League detachment, an outstanding volunteer with Honor Flight South Florida, and a participant in many veteran-related events throughout the years.

Nick was preceded in death by his wife Mary Teresa McNamara Passanisi in 2020.  He is survived by his 2 daughters Teresa (Steven) O’Hara and Carol (Thomas) Kirchhoff, 4 grandchildren:  Paul O’Hara, Robert O’Hara, Nicole Kirchhoff, & Catherine O’Kane, and 7 great-grandchildren:  Ryan O’Hara, William Sargent, Carolyn Sargent, Marilee Sargent, Denis O’Kane, Theodore O’Kane, & Annabel O’Kane.

A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, March 21 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 22 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton.  Nick will be laid to rest with Military Honors on Monday, March 25 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
