Joan Rothschild Ricci, 86, of Matthews, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
She is survived by her three children, Stephen (Martha), Susanne Rattner(Jeff) and Mark Ricci (Norma); proud grandmother to Eliza Kempton (Paul), May Miller-Ricci, Richard and Grant Bursek, and Nicholas and Marco Ricci; great-grandmother to Alanna Kempton.
Joan began her life in Chicago, IL and her family later moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she met Nicholas. Loving wife and devoted mother, Joan raised her family with the values and devotion she exhibited in her daily life; giving to others and loving unconditionally.
Joan is now among the angels she was so much like in life. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends but shall remain unforgotten in our hearts and minds as an example of love, beauty, grace, compassion, humility and humor that touched all who were privileged to know her.
Joan will be interred at 2:00 pm on May 21, 2012 at the Boca Raton Mausoleum where she will be re-united with the love of her life, husband, and best friend, Nicholas, (deceased December 8, 1992).
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
