Born on October 21, 1931 in Philadelphia, Walt was the son of Catharine (Smith) and Walter A. Pelstring. As a teenager he moved to Hollywood, FL with his parents and siblings and was in the first graduating class of South Broward High School. After attending the University of Florida in Gainesville, he joined the Army and served honorably in Korea, where he earned a Bronze Star. Debbie-Rand Memorial Service League nominee for the Florence Fuller Men with Caring Hearts Award.

I hope that your faith can help you find comfort in that you will see him again one day in God's beautiful garden! I certainly wish I had been blessed with more times with my kind, sweet Uncle Walt. from The Little Prince, by Antoine De Saint-Exupery
"At night, you'll look up at the stars. My star will be one of the stars. So you'll like looking at all of them. When you look at the sky at night, since I'll be laughing on one of them, for you, it'll be as if all the stars are laughing. You'll have stars that can laugh. And when you are consoled (everyone eventually is consoled), you'll feel like laughing with me."
Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
