Victoria Scurto

Victoria Scurto of Boca Raton passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017.  She was 92 years old.  Victoria was born to parents Giuseppe and Antonia Seminerio on February 3, 1925 in New York.  She married and raised her children in Brooklyn and Staten Island.  She moved to South Florida in 2002.

Victoria loved cooking for the family.   She also enjoyed making ceramic items as well as painting.  She was creative with art and craft projects which she enjoyed with her grandchildren.  Playing games with the grandkids was a special delight.  She had a passion for the casino’s where she played poker, bingo, and the slot machines. 

Victoria was preceded in death by her first husband, Pasquale LaPreta and husband Angelo Scurto. She is survived by her devoted sons and daughters-in-law’s Anthony (Donna) LaPreta, Joseph (Vicki) LaPreta, Robert LaPreta, and John (Paola) Scurto.   She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Michael & Joey LaPreta, Anthony, Adrianna, Christian, & Nicholas LaPreta , John Rocco and Sabrina Scurto.

Visiting hours will be held from 2:30-4:30pm and 6:30-8:30pm on Monday at the funeral home.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday at St. John’s Catholic Church followed by committal prayers at Boca Raton Mausoleum.
