Roslyn Goodman

Roslyn Goodman died peacefully on Feb 10 of complications from a stroke, in Boca Raton, Fla. She was 89.

Formerly of New York City, she was the mother of Kenny, Rusty (Paul), Peter and daughter-in-law Karen, grandmother of Emily, Katie, Allie, Jesse, Andrea and Ian, widow of Goody (Irv), sister-in-law of Sandy and Hal, aunt of Susie, Jon, Jayne, and Steve.

Roz grew up in Forest Hills, NY, with cousins Shirley, Janet and Marilyn, the daughter of Sam and Ida Berkowitz. She graduated from Queens College, and met her future husband when they were counselors at summer camp. Roz and Goody were married for 43 years. They lived in Elmont, then Great Neck, Manhattan and Los Angeles. 

After raising their three sons, Roz got her MSW from Adelphi, and launched a career as a psychiatric social worker.  With Goody, she shared a life full of friends and family, travel, his career in book publishing and hers in social work. After Goody died in 1994, Roz moved part-time to Boca Raton, eventually settling there year round.

Roz was the most energetic person any of us knew.  She lived a rich life, making the most of every moment. Her family and many friends already miss her dearly. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 11 at Glick Family Funeral Home, 3600 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton, FL  33431.
