Maurice Mark Castellano

Maurice Mark Castellano was born August 26, 1924 in Manhattan New York to the late Salvatore & Anna Ciccarello Castellano. He was a devoted family man. On April 25, 2016 he passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Boca Raton.

Maurice married Edith Velardi Castellano in 1950, they lived together in South Florida, spending most of their years in Miami Beach. He is survived by his wife (Edith), children Robert, John, Mark, Bill, Joan, & Jane, 19 Grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren and sister Anna Marciano.  He was preceded in death by His brothers Louis & Vincent. 

Maurice was a graduate of the University of Miami and proudly served his country in the US Army.  He was a member of the Boys of Italy, The Surf Club, La Gorce Country Club, and Buck Hill Falls.  He was ordained in the order / knighted of the St. Bridgetta in Rome.

Maurice was a great and well respected man whose generosity and love for family always came first. He will be truly missed and never forgotten.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 PM on Friday, April 29 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton.  A reception will follow at the Boca Grove Country Club.

The family requests expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers be made to NIAF College Fund (www.niaf.org) in Maurice’s name.

The Glick Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
