MaryAnn C. Wager

Maryann C. Wager went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. She passed away in Boca Raton, FL after a short illness and is survived by her only Son, Robert G. Gerard and her Daughter-in-Law, Diana F. Gerard and her three grandchildren, Mathieu J. Gerard, Michael C. Gerard and Joseph S Gerard and three great granddaughters, Sarah, Meghan and Claire.  Maryann was born in New York City, the second daughter of eight children to Sicilian immigrants Rose and Charles Carbone. Of the eight, Maryann is survived by Anna Dohn of Spotswood, N.J and Carmello (Rocky) Carbone, of Staten Island, NY.  Maryann is also survived her nephew, Dennis Belmonte, and a myriad of nieces and nephews.

Maryann was a great person, loved by all that knew her. She volunteered on the Board of Directors of Sunflower Condominiums in Boca Raton, where she lived for 25 years. Before that Maryann lived in Lighthouse Point, FL and Holmdel, New Jersey.  Maryann worked as a Social Worker in Monmouth County, New Jersey in the 1960s.  There were four lifelong friends that Maryann kept in touch with; Constance Buckley, Francis Spanola (deceased), Hilda Fornabio and Mary Geiser.  Maryann assisted caring for Mary mother, Bernice Geiser until she passed away in December 14, 2014.  

Maryann was an intelligent, caring, patient and loving person. She was so full of spunk, and always in a hurry to go somewhere or had something to do.  Now, she is at peace with the Lord in Heaven. Memorial Services will be held at the Glick Family Funeral Home at 3600 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida on May 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
