Mary Beth Zimmerman, 77 of Boca Raton, Florida passed away in her home on Friday, January 15, 2016.

Born in Warren, Ohio to Percival and Sarah Ludt on September 29, 1938, she is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lee Zimmerman and her three children; Caren (Michael) Holmes of Lighthouse Point, FL, Diane (Ken) Fredrikson of Buford, GA, and son, Rev. Douglas (Tammy) Zimmerman of Aylesbury, England. Mary Beth was also blessed with eleven grandchildren, Brittney (Zach), Nick, Michele, Mark, Andrew, Anna, Jonathan, Caroline, Brandi, Layne (Danielle), Madison, one great-grandchild, Kellan, and another one on the way, Olivia, due May 2016. Her brother, Bill (Phyllis) Ludt, of Mobile, AL, her nephews Steve, Scott, and niece Susan, also survives her.

Mary Beth will be fondly remembered for her enthusiastic spirit of evangelism and deep commitment to the ministries of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church. She was particularly welcoming to new members and enjoyed serving as a greeter. Mary Beth was a shining example of Episcopal service. She was Diocesan President of the Daughters of the King from 2006 - 2009, involved as the Lay Director for the Gold Coast Via de Cristo Cursillo and a Team Member for Episcopal Cursillo weekends, a faithful member of the St. Gregory's choir, and she evangelized though the Clown Ministry, where she was known as "Rainbow the Clown". In 2014, then-Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori honored Mary Beth and her husband, Lee, with a lifetime achievement award for their service at St. Gregory's. Mary Beth had a lifetime love of angels, which was part of her faith, her sorority life as an Alpha Chi Omega and the fact she was born on the annual Feast of St. Michael and All Angels Day. We rejoice in knowing Mary Beth is forever with angels and is now healed from her illnesses on earth.

A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church at 100 NE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33429 on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM, with Father Andrew Sherman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Gregory's Episcopal Church Music Fund or the St. Gregory's Episcopal General Endowment Fund.
