Lloyd P. MacDonald

A wonderful husband, father, and friend, Lloyd P. MacDonald passed away peacefully on the morning of November 20, 2017, surrounded by his wife, Linda, and his two children, Glen and Lauren.

Lloyd was an amazing man; someone so selfless and caring, who always put others before himself. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on January 17, 1946. The middle child of five children to Charles Sr. and Ruth MacDonald, Lloyd was always there for his family, helping his dad fix things around the house or making his little sister the star of a Halloween party by creating for her a fun Halloween costume.

He was truly an artistic person, who loved his career. He was a creative art director in the advertising industry and always said, “I’m not going to work, I’m going to play.” He started his career in New York City, where he met his wife Linda, at an ad agency. After an off-broadway play and subsequent date at the Italian Street Festival, Lloyd and Linda knew they had something special and continued to share that love for 42 years. Lloyd and Linda moved to Connecticut, and had two children, Glen and Lauren.

After the cold of New York and Connecticut, Lloyd moved with his family to South Florida. In between his love for his work as a creative art director in advertising, Lloyd coached his son’s flag football team and enjoyed helping his daughter with school art projects. He was the most incredible dad, who instilled in his children the value of love, compassion, and to always live life with joy in your heart.

Although Lloyd’s passing is still a shock to all those who loved him, we are grateful for all he brought to our lives.

In addition to his loving wife and two children, he is also survived by brothers Charles and Bruce, sisters Charlene and Marcia, and nieces Teresa, Laura, Linda and nephew Jim.
