John Roger Ford

John Roger Ford of Delray Beach passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.  Mr. Ford is the owner of BarCharts Publishing Company of Boca Raton.  He was born on October 7, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Glen and Marian Fonner Ford.  As a young man, he volunteered his time with the Peace Corp serving in Africa. 

John quickly and easily made friends while residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma then the Dallas area of Texas before enjoying life in Big Pine Key, Florida and finally settling in Delray Beach.    He poured his passion for life into his publishing business; he was a valuable mentor to many and a friend to all.  He will be sorely missed.  John had a passion for knowledge, the environment, and adventure.

John is survived by his beloved wife and partner of 34 years, Bobbie Ford; devoted son Evan (Brenda) Berner of Boca Raton and loving daughter Jocelyn (John) Mijares also of Boca Raton; five cherished grandchildren: John Joseph, Jordyn, Shane, Elizabeth and Joaquin.  He also leaves behind his brother Vaughan (Jessilee) Ford of Houston, TX and niece Whitney Ford of Washington DC. 

A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, October 8th at Glick Family Funeral Home - 3600 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton.
