Jeremy Lyle Young passed away at his home on November 20, 2016. Jeremy was born at his grandmother’s home in Lombard, Illinois and grew up in Naperville, Illinois and Boca Raton, FL. Jeremy is survived by his Mother Sharon, his Father Mark & step-mom MaryJayne, Brother Jeff; Step brother Sean, and Step sister Gwen. Jeremy is preceded in death by his Sister Tali.
Jeremy was the best son, brother, or friend anyone could have. He possessed a stillness that made you feel that you could tell him anything without judgment. His caring and quiet way will be missed by many. His huge heart had room for all of us.
Jeremy loved to root, root, root for the Chicago Cubs and watched nearly every baseball game this year including the World Series “W”. Jeremy won a lot of card games with family and friends. He loved spending time with his family and talking about shared memories. He was also an avid fisherman, surfer, and snowboarder. He worked a variety of jobs during his life including chef, bartender, and most recently construction.
Jeremy said that nothing but continuous action would bring the desired result. Jeremy knew Father Martin’s Morning Prayer: “Dear Lord, You have given me another day in which to stay sober. I adore you as my God. I offer You myself: my every thought, word, and deed, every beat of my heart, every breath that I breath, all that I am and have. All that I do or suffer this day, I give to you, God.” Jeremy had hopes that his higher power could do for him what all Jeremy’s efforts could not achieve.
Good bye Jeremy. Say hello to all of our loved ones that have gone before us. We will always love and remember you in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
