James Anthony Comparato

Prominent Real Estate Developer James Anthony Comparato passed peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 69.

James was a longstanding community leader in Boca Raton most known for his generosity and philanthropy both locally as well as McLean, Virginia and Rochester, New York.

It is with great sadness that we honor his extraordinary life.

James is most known for his Real Estate accomplishments founding Compson Associates, Inc in 1981.  James began his career in 1969 with his brothers Thomas and Robert under the stewardship of their father, Anthony Comparato.  His career in Real estate has spanned over 48 wonderful years.

His generosity and philanthropy included a long list of charities including the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, The Boca Raton Regional Hospital, St. Jude Children Hospital, St. Joan of Arc Church, and JAFCO.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Paulette Comparato of 48 years, his two cherished daughters Lisa (Carl) Klepper and Lori (Robert) D’Angelo, his two brothers Thomas and Robert Comparato, 5 treasured grandchildren – Carl Anthony, Sophia, Nicholas, Christopher, and Matthew, and many nieces and nephews.

James will be greatly missed by his entire family and the many people that were touched by his generosity, compassion and love.

The family will be receiving those who wish to share their condolences at Glick Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, 2-4 & 6-8 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor at St. Joan of Arc Church Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11am with Entombment to follow at Boca Raton Mausoleum.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James’ Memory to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, The Boca Raton Regional Hospital, St. Jude Childrens Hospital or JAFCO.
