Isabelle Schmitt

Isabelle Schmitt, age 72, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 29th in Boca Raton after a courageous battle with cancer.  She is now at peace in the presence of God.

Isabelle was born in New York City on August 6th, 1943 to Jaime and Leonore Pantoja.  She graduated from Washington Irving High School and continued her studies at Hunter College in New York City. She moved to Washington D.C. to work for the U.S. Government.  In June of 1971, Isabelle married Heinz Schmitt in Puerto Rico. The couple moved to Munich, Germany in 1972 where their daughter Jennifer was born a few years later. In 1987, the family moved to Boca Raton.

Isabelle enjoyed studying languages, literature and the Bible. She also loved spending time with her friends and family.

Isabelle is survived by her loving husband, Heinz Schmitt, her daughter Jennifer and her many loving friends.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 4th, at Spanish River Church in Boca Raton at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spanish River Church in her memory.
