GEORGE STANLEY DANClU, 55, Boca Raton, FL

George left us Thursday, September 12. He was surrounded by his family and the music he loved, as he peacefully passed on, reuniting with his Pops and countless other departed family and friends. He is survived by his three beautiful daughters, Rebecca, Laura, and Amy, brothers Joseph and Michael, sisters Charlotte, Peggy and Mary, mother Eleanor, fiancee Cindy Broderick, 'step-sons' Craig and David, grandson Bradley, granddaughter Daniella, brothers-in-law Billy and Bill, sisters-in-law Lisa and Stephanie, nieces Allyson, Jessica, Sandra, Emily, Noelle, nephews Daniel, Parker, Steven, Wil and Jaylin, his best friend "Bear dog" and countless other loving relatives, co-workers and friends.

George was a devout Christian who had a deep faith and a personal relationship with God. He attended St. Joan of Arc School, Cardinal Gibbons HS, and FAU. Together with his Dad and Brother Joe, he created Dirty Moe's Oyster Boat, and remained in the food industry the rest of his life. He was passionate about his family above all else. He was dedicated to his children, who were the pride of his life. He was devoted to his Mom, who called him 'Dependable George'; he would drop everything to come over and fix a light-bulb or a sprinkler for her. He loved his Dad and confidant, and spent hours by his gravesite - a grieving that has now become a joyful reunion. He cherished his sisters and had a unique, often-times goofy personal relationship with each of them. His best friends were his bros, who shared his other two passions: Dolphin's football and any-kind-of-fishing.

To know George was to know his quick wit, rapid-fire jokes, and great big heart right on his sleeve. You didn't have to guess where he stood on any issue, and you didn't have to wonder what he thought about you.

George is now at peace after a fearless fight with cancer. Our family is deeply wounded by his passing and there is an unimaginable void in our world. We do not grieve for him, but for ourselves.

While at mass earlier this month George echoed the call of his life: "Gotta keep the faith". Right on, Georgie, right on.

A visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, September 19th at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton with a Wake Service to be held at 7:00 pm.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, September 20th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton.  Burial will follow at the Boca Raton Cemetery.
