Erin Kane Rodriguez passed away peacefully in her family home on January 10, 2017, of natural causes.
Born in Westchester County, NY, on Mother’s Day, May 12, 1996, she was the loving daughter of Jorge and Judi Rodriguez.
Erin was a junior on a full athletic scholarship at Miami University of Ohio, a member and co-captain of the women’s tennis team.
She was a dual major in Political Science and Business Legal Studies where she was a dean’s list student and chosen to serve as an Ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences. She also attended the prestigious Farmer School of Business within the University.
Aspiring to become a prosecuting attorney Erin planned to attend law school upon graduation.
She was full of love and deeply touched the lives of many in such a short period of time. She was her family’s ray of sunshine and will be forever in the hearts of those she knew and loved.
Erin is survived by her parents Jorge and Judi, her younger brother Matthew, grandparents Tom and Dorothy Kane, Grandmother Miriam Rodriguez, Uncle John and Aunt Suzanne Kane, Godparents Jose and Rita Mendez, and many cousins.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Wednesday, January 18 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton where a celebration of life service will begin at 2:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Thursday, January 19 at St. Lucy Catholic Church in Highland Beach.
