Boca Raton, FL — Emanuel Alexander Moraitis, 86, died in his sleep, peacefully, on Friday, September 16, 2016. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Athena (Kostul) Moraitis; his son, Alex (Debbie) Moraitis, daughter, Maria (Rick) Clark, daughter, Venessa (George) Gigicos, and four grandchildren. Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Brooklyn, he was a 45 year resident of Boca Raton. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he spent two years in the Army during the Korean War. He began his career in life insurance shortly thereafter. He then founded and operated Screen Graphics of Florida, a silk screen printing business, which is still in operation today. He not only took pride in his business and Greek heritage, but truly relished the friends he made over the years in Pittsburgh, Boca Raton and his church. He was known for his repertoire of jokes, sense of humor and interest in others lives. Arrangements: Wake, Monday,6:00pm, Glick Family Funeral Home. Funeral,Tuesday,10:00am, St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church, both in Boca Raton. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church, where he was a founding member.
