Ed Patroski of Boca Raton, FL passed away on January 2nd, surrounded by family. Ed was born to parents William and Helen Patroski, residing  primarily in Glastonbury, Connecticut during his youth. 

 

Ed served in the US Army from 1955 to 1958 in the military police. He continued in the Reserves for 5 years. He also worked for the Glastonbury Police Department before beginning a long, distinguished career in the security services profession with Pinkerton's of New York City, NY and Wackenhut of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Ed truly lived up to his company's motto "The Eye that Never Sleeps" especially when it came to the love, protection and well being of his family. 

 

Ed also enjoyed working on home improvements, grilling up delicious barbecue, cruising with Marilyn and playing card games with the family. 

 

Ed is survived by his loving spouse, Marilyn (Marciano) whom he married in 1985. He is also survived by his 4 children--Charlene (William) Trimmer, William (Susan) Patroski, Ann Marie Barger, Helen-Mary (Craig) Schoedler-- and 3 stepsons -- Joseph (Linda) Marciano, Ronald (Terri) Marciano and Robert Marciano. Additionally, he is survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a sister, Patricia Darling.  All of us will dearly miss him. 

 

Memorial services for Ed Patroski will be held on Wednesday, January 11th at 10:30am at Ascension Catholic Church,  7250 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton. A Military farewell and final blessing will occur at 1:00pm at the South Florida National Cemetery in Boynton Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, private prayers and Mass Cards for Ed would be appreciated by the family .
