Daniel Wilks Harris

Daniel Wilks Harris, the beloved son of Kenneth and Susan Harris of Roswell, Georgia left his earthly home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.  Daniel was born and raised in Roswell; he was such a joy and blessing to his family and friends.  Daniel absolutely adored his older brother, Thomas, always seeking out his advice over the years.  Daniel graduated from Lassiter High School, Marietta Georgia in May 2016; he was currently a freshman at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach County, Florida.    He was interested in many things; he enjoyed working out at the gym and was making new friends while learning to play soccer.   He had an appreciation for all kinds of food but especially loved southern BBQ.  Besides great food, a good day means hanging out in one of his tie-dye T-shirts and playing with his dog, Hopper.   Daniel’s laugh was incredibly infectious!  His friends will remember him for how he made them laugh!  Daniel saw things that others may have missed.  We will miss him dearly.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Susan Harris; his brother Thomas Harris, 27, of Boca Raton, FL and Thomas’ finance Julie Brown of Boca Raton; his maternal grandparents Thomas and Sally Talbott of Cos Cob, CT; paternal grandparents, Mary C. Harris and the late Richard Harris of Duxbury, MA.   He also leaves behind his loving aunts and uncles: Tom and Debbie Talbott of Gorham, ME; John and Tracy Sconyers of Sudbury, MA; Herschel and Claire Hamlen of Atlanta, GA; Karl and Christine Johnson of Scituate, MA; Glenn and Jane Hicks of Duxbury, MA; Stephen Harris of Abington, MA; Richard and Paula Stagnone of Holbrook, MA; as well as 13 cherished cousins. 

Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach.  Daniel will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in West Palm Beach, Florida. 

Donations, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org) in memory of Daniel W. Harris.
