Ann Bell Calabrese (nee Elnisky) died quietly and peacefully on September 20, 2016 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Ann was a loyal wife, a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother. She is survived and adored by her three children, Thomas Calabrese, Anthony Calabrese, and Joanne Wilson; her grandchildren, Renee Uhlman, Christopher Calabrese, Joy Poole, Faith Wilson, and Michael Calabrese; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Anthony Thomas Calabrese, who died in 2006.

Ann was born on June 26, 1922 in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, the fourth of seven children of Mike and Julia Elnisky (nee Matkowska). Growing up during the great depression, she lived her adult life as if she were poor. She could make and fix things using good old-fashioned ingenuity. Ann never thought of herself first or second, or really at all. She was a practical woman with an abundance of common sense.

At 94, Ann was still living in her own home and driving herself to the senior center most days. She loved socializing, playing cards, and dancing. She had a great sense of humor and made people laugh all the way to the end. Her life was her family, yet she was fiercely independent and enjoyed living her life that way!

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
The Volen Center
