Amy M. Chapman

Amy Michelle Chapman 40, of Boca Raton passed away January 22 at Hospice By The Sea surrounded by her loving family.  Amy fought a long courageous battle with cancer.  Amy was born on April 8, 1975 in Morgantown, West Virginia.  She is survived by her parents Stephen (Joyce) Chapman of Boca Raton and Lois (Tim Davison) Chapman of Peterborough, England.  She is also survived by her sister Katy (Justin Joyce) Chapman of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.  She also leaves behind step-brothers and sisters, Scott Sawtell, Jennifer Sawtell-Day, Kristen Sawtell Mitchell and Meredith Sawtell as well as Graham, Ian, and Ray Davison, her grandmothers Ruby McLean and Elizabeth Chapman.  She is also survived by 17 neices and nephews.

Amy graduated from Boca Raton High School Class of 1994.  She received an Associate of Science Degree from the New England Institute of Technology in Electronics and Computer Networking.  Amy also holds a teaching certificate as a 4th degree black belt in Uechi Ryu Karate.  Amy had a generous heart and touched the lives of many.  She was dedicated to her volunteer work with the Royal Rangers.  Amy had also volunteered at Boca Raton Middle School, Boca Raton High School and the Riding for the Handicapped program. 

Viewing will be at Glick Funeral Home, Boca Raton on Monday, January 25 from 4-7 PM with a service at 7PM.  Burial will be private.
